*Jamie Foxx and Colin Firth are producing a new documentary on late music legend Luther Vandross.

Award-winner Dawn Porter (John Lewis: Good Trouble) is helming the doc in collaboration with the singer’s estate, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Like so many, I have always loved Luther’s music, but I had no idea of the breadth and scope of his artistry. I think people will be surprised at how much he accomplished in his tragically short life,” Porter said in a statement to THR. “It is a joy to be able to share his true story.”

Foxx added in the statement, “Luther is one of our GOATs,” Foxx said in a statement. “He’s one of the greatest singers in the history of music. It is truly an honor to be a part of the team to help bring this incredible story to the masses.”

Two years after suffering a debilitating stroke, Vandross passed away in 2005. He was 54 years old. He sold over 40 million albums worldwide and won eight Grammys during his lifetime.

In related news, EUR’s Yolanda Baruch reported previously that Foxx was spotted riding around Chicago over the weekend and returning a purse to an unknown woman. This is the first time the actor has been publicly seen since his April medical emergency. Mike Tyson said at the time that Foxx had a stroke, others claim he suffered severe injuries from the COVID vaccine. Foxx, nor his team, have shared details about his mysterious “medical emergency.”

On Monday, a fan on Instagram posted a video that appears to show Foxx in Chicago interacting with a group of tourists. The IG user with the name Quan Ellis noted in the caption that Foxx happened upon their mother’s lost bag and returned it to the group.

“Mom lost her bag in Chicago today Jamie fox [sic] found it and brought it to her and he said he feels good y’all god is good,” the user wrote.

Foxx was also spotted at a Topgolf outing in Naperville, roughly 30 miles outside of Chicago.

“He looks healthy,” a source said of observing Foxx practice his golf swing, per People. “He didn’t need any physical assistance.”
