
*Gangsta Boo, born Lola Mitchell, has passed away at the age of 43.
She was reportedly found dead late Sunday afternoon but details surrounding the death of the former Three 6 Mafia member are unclear.
Sources connected to the rapper tell TMZ that her death appears to be drug-related. The outlet writes: “We’re told Gangsta was with her brother last night at a local concert in Memphis, and that her sibling started to overdose sometime in the night … requiring hospitalization. While he ended up being okay, our sources tell us that people familiar with Gangsta Boo’s death scene insist narcotics were found on her person and that a fentanyl-laced substance is believed to be at play.”
Police are reportedly launching an investigation into her death.

An official cause of death will come once an autopsy is complete.
Gangsta Boo became the second female member of Three 6 Mafia in the mid-1990s. She parted ways with them in the early 2000s to pursue a solo career. She previously addressed rumors that members of the group used meth. Check out what she had to say about that in the YouTube clip below.
Meanwhile, several stars are reacting on social media to the news of her death, with singer K. Michelle writing: “You already know what it is. We FOREVER! Broke my whole heart today sis. I love you #memphis R.I.P Gangsta Boo”.
