Diana Ross made a surprise appearance at the Beyoncé Renaissance World Tour Los Angeles stop at the SoFi Stadium to serenade the “Alien Superstar” artist’s 42nd birthday, according to People. “Thank you so much, you are so amazing,” Beyoncé said to Ross as she held the Motown legend’s hand. “This is the legendary Diana Ross! There would be no me without you and thank you so much for all of your sacrifice and your beauty and your grace. Thank you for opening doors for me. Thank you so much.” Ross tenderly responded, “You sang Happy Birthday to me so I wanted to sing it to you.”
Beyoncé gave an emotional speech on her birthday, thanking everyone who shaped her life and career; she honored her family, fans, and the former members of Destiny’s Child, Business Insider reports. “I’m thankful for my children. I’m thankful for my husband. I’m thankful for all the shit we’ve been through,” she said in a video clip posted by Mike Gauyo. “I’m thankful for my beautiful father, who is here tonight. I thank you for his sacrifice, for his pain. I’m thankful for my mother, my beautiful queen.” She continued, “I’m thankful for Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, LeToya Luckett, LaTavia Roberson.
