*Writer and director Noel Calloway’s new romantic thriller hits theaters this month, and we caught up with the filmmaker to dish about the project.
“Aurora: A Love Story” tells the story of a couple whose love is tested after secrets are revealed. Kenny, played by Tobias Truvillion (The Best Man Series), is ecstatic about his destination wedding. What could go wrong with his family and close friends by his side?
Well, that may seem like a silly question. Because when it comes to weddings so many things can and will go wrong. Especially if the family that is by your side is merely there to support you because of their loyalty but question the wedding because of their love and concern for you. As the family and friends arrive in Puerto Rico to celebrate Kenny’s wedding, his sister is not too fond of this union. She has her suspicions about Giselle, played by Wakeema Hollis (Dynasty), and she is not holding back the way she feels.

Where did Calloway get the idea to write and direct a destination wedding drama pic? “The inspiration was my own destination wedding,” he tells EUR in an exclusive interview.
“The drama, the suspense, the love that came with being on a beautiful beach marrying the woman of your dreams,” said Calloway, who took the elements of his own wedding and turned that into an engaging thriller.
In the midst of the drama that’s been ignited by Kenny’s sister, his fiance Giselle goes missing. Was she kidnapped, did she have cold feet? All of these possibilities are going through everyone’s mind. I spoke to Truvillion and Hollis about their reaction when they first read the script of this twisted love story.
“She was scheming on Kenny,” said Truvillion, with Hollis adding “What I thought was that, it had layers. It was multifaceted.” Will Kenny and Giselle’s love make it through all of the obstacles they have faced? What did Tobias mean when he said Giselle was scheming on him?
