Actress RHONDA MORMAN is Deliciously Wicked in ALLBLK/AMC Network’s ‘Wicked City’ | WATCH

*Actress Rhonda Morman is deliciously wicked in the ‘much-anticipated’ Wicked City. Rhonda known for playing diverse characters is lighting up Hollywood with her tremendous talent.

Wicked City, the 6-episode series on ALLBLK, from AMC Networks premieres Thursday, December 1st, and is executive produced by Tressa “Azarel” Smallwood and Donte Lee.

Rhonda plays Claudette LeNoir, a powerful and dangerous witch – deadset on revenge is compelling. Stripped of her magic decades ago, the iniquitous witch is tenacious in not allowing anyone to stop her. She gives a dazzling performance that will be a classic pop culture performance for the history books. Well done!

Wicked City follows five urban witches who push their supernatural powers to new heights after uncovering dark secrets and accidentally entering the world of the forbidden. The cast of Wicked City includes Rhonda Morman, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Taylor Polidore, Shaquita Smith, Mercedez McDowell, Chantal Maurice, Chanel Mack, Malika Blessing, Columbus Short, India Marie Cross, and Rolonda Rochelle.

Considered to be one of this generation’s most respected and acclaimed talents, Rhonda has the undeniable ability to bring complicated and charismatic characters to life.

Her magnetic performance as the antagonist in the thriller-pack film, ‘Wicked City, shows her tremendous ability to transcend into a character and make it her own.

The beautiful actress commented that she enjoys challenging and diverse roles that take her out of her comfort zone.

She continues to challenge herself which has led her to play the lead in many feature films including, Bluest Moon (Amazon Prime), CainAbel (Amazon Prime), OLE Bryce and Stolen Breath the Truth Revealed (Amazon Prime).

Rhonda’s supporting roles in feature films includes Sister Swap: Christmas at the Madison, Angrily Ever After, Her Little Secret, The Choir Director, Throwback Holiday, and The Runners. Shedding light on the pain and tragedy of addiction, she played the role of Delphine, a heroin addict, opposite of Loretta Devine in Lost Souls Cafe, written and directed by Donald Welch, aired on TV One.

The multifaceted actress is a recurring cast member on the Netflix Original family-friendly series, Motown Magic and plays the role of “Grandma Ruby” produced by Motown’s legendary icon Smokey Robinson, currently on its second season. You can catch her in BET+ mini-drama series, The Black Hamptons and AMC Networks, Hush, the provocative drama series everyone is talking about, airing December 1st on ALLBLK.

She recently wrapped up filming additional projects, set to release soon which include a feature film called Bedside, and the highly anticipated television series, The Block Trilogies (television series), along with a few surprised supporting film and television roles.

In 2019 and 2020, Rhonda was thrilled to be nominated in the NAACP Images Award Children’s Programming category for the animated children’s television series, Motown Magic.

Her notable theatrical stage play roles include Sunday Mourning (in which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress by NAACP,) For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf, Love Buddies, The Conversation, Blue God, Nylons, Save Us, The Things That Make Men Cry, Three Times a Lady, The Bachelorette Party and Detours.

Beyond the stage, film, and television, Rhonda has been involved in several industrial films, commercials, and print ads. She has expanded her expertise to the web series realm by taking on roles in Wendy + Julian, a web series produced by Dennis Dortch of Black & Sexy TV, and The Choir, a web series written and produced by Issa Rae and Alright TV. She was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the LA Webfest for her recurring roles for two web series, What Men Want, and Black Boots, winning the award for the latter. She can also be seen on the new television web series, The Confession Game, Kontaxt and Two Degrees.
