*A 7-day challenge is reportedly going viral that sees people getting ahead of their finances and saving money in a big way.

This challenge may help you pay off debts faster, buy that new home you’ve been saving for, take a vacation or plan for retirement.

Per The Penny Horder, below are seven things you can do in seven days to get your finances under control.

Day 1: Stop Overpaying at Amazon

Wouldn’t it be nice if you got an alert when you’re shopping online at Amazon or Target and are about to overpay?

That’s exactly what this free service does.

Just add it to your browser for free, and before you check out, it’ll check other websites, including Walmart, eBay and others to see if your item is available for cheaper. Plus, you can get coupon codes, set up price-drop alerts and even see the item’s price history.

Day 2: Ask This Website to Pay Your Credit Card Bills This Month

While you’re stressing out over your debt, your credit card company is getting rich off those insane interest rates. But a website called Fiona could help you pay off that bill as soon as tomorrow.

Here’s how it works: Fiona can match you with a low-interest loan you can use to pay off every credit card balance you have. The benefit? You’re left with just one bill to pay every month, and because the interest rate is so much lower, you can get out of debt so much faster. Plus, no credit card payment this month.

Day 3: Get Free Stock From This Company

Imagine if you had bought one share of Amazon for $18 when the stock first went public. Today, it would be worth more than $20,000 — despite all the ups and downs in the stock market.

An investing app called Robinhood will give you up to $200 worth of free stock in companies like Visa, Microsoft and GE, just for downloading its app and opening a free account.

It takes just a couple of minutes to sign up and get your free stock — you may even just get a share of the “next Amazon.”

Day 4: You Can Cancel Your Car Insurance

When was the last time you compared car insurance rates? Chances are you’re seriously overpaying with your current policy.

If it’s been more than six months since your last car insurance quote, you should look again. And if you look through a website called InsuredNation, you could save yourself up to $500 a year. InsuredNation has already helped millions of people find affordable car insurance. See how much money you could save with a new policy.

Day 5: Get Paid up to $80/Month — Just for Sharing Your Opinion

Taking surveys might not sound like the best way to make money, but if you’re just vegging out on the couch — or pretending to be interested in your partner’s new favorite show — why not click a couple buttons? It could earn you up to $80 a month. Seriously.

There are a bunch of paid survey sites out there, but one of the best we’ve found is Survey Junkie.

Day 6: Invest in Famous Art (Even if You’re Not a Millionaire)

Here’s the deal: If you’re not investing in contemporary art, you might be missing out on an asset whose prices have historically outpaced the S&P by 164% from 1995 – 2020. (FYI, the S&P tracks 500 of the largest companies in the stock market)

You’re probably thinking you need at least a few more zeros in your checking account before you can even start thinking about investing in Warhols and Monets, right? But a company called Masterworks lets normal people like us invest in multimillion-dollar works of art — something normally only available to the super rich.

It takes less than a minute to sign up for a free account.

Day 7: Protect Your Family For as Little as $10/Month

Have you thought about what would happen to your family after you die? How will they pay the mortgage? Send the kids to school? We know; it’s not fun to think about. But getting a life insurance policy is one of the most important things you can do if you have people who depend on you.

A company called Insure.com can help you get a policy for as little as $10 a month — and in just two minutes.
