Kanye Demands Apology From Drake and J. Cole, Refuses to Drop Music Until Contract Ends

KANYE WEST

*Kanye West took to Twitter on Monday to demand an apology from fellow Black male artists that he believes have disrespected him.

West’s latest rant takes aim at Drake, JAY-Z and Travis Scott. The hip-hop star also said he refuses to release any music until he’s released from his current record contract, Complex reports.

“I’m not putting no more music out till I’m done with my contract with Sony and Universal…On God…in Jesus name…come and get me,” Ye wrote on Twitter and included an emoji of a downhill skier.

In another tweet, he asked “to see everybody’s contracts at Universal and Sony” before proclaiming himself to be “the new Moses.”

Kanye also slammed French media company Vivendi, which owns a majority stake in the Universal Music Group.

In his series of tweets, Ye compared himself to Nat Turner and revealed that he’s “waiting to meet with” Jay-Z.

“I need a publicly apology from J Cole and Drake to start with immediately … I’m Nat Turner … I’m fighting for us,” Kanye wrote. He then said he has “the utmost respect for all brothers” and continued, “we need to link and respect each other… no more dissing each other on labels we don’t own.”

West called for his brothers to “love each other,” writing, “Let’s love each other… I love my brothers and I miss my friends … real talk.”

He went on to call out Black entrepreneur, author and Translation marketing founder Steve Stoute, claiming he was “hurt that he didn’t do the McDonald’s deal,” that Travis Scott ended up with.

“I’m sure Steve Stoute was hurt that he didn’t do the McDonald’s deal … Steve’s a good man Trav is a good man … my brothers let’s rise up … we don’t even own these companies,” Ye wrote.

He also shared a quote from Stoute’s appearance on The Boardroom: Out of Office podcast where he said,” I don’t want anybody Black running around voting for Kanye West.”

“If you’re gonna vote for Donald Trump and you choose Kanye West instead of Donald Trump, great. That will help the Biden campaign,” Stoute continued. “But I don’t want Black people who were thinking about voting for Biden, voting for Kanye West, in the markets, in the areas that he’s registered as a candidate. That’s going to hurt us.”

Kanye tweets

In his lengthy Twitter rant, Kanye urged his followers to use their government stimulus money to “buy land”.

On Tuesday, West continued his free flow of thoughts by comparing the salaires of billionaire Americans.

“Phill Knight’s net worth is 40 billion Michael Jordan’s net worth is 1.6 billion … and Phill Knight never had to jump from the free throw line… when you google Phil you barely even see his face,” he wrote. In a follow up post showing the net worth of Michael Jordan, Kanye noted, “When you google us we gotta smile for the camera.”
