*BET is joining the new wave of streaming of services. Have you ever wanted to watch “Martin” episodes any time you wanted to but you don’t own the DVD set?
Well, now you can with BET’s new streaming app BET + (Plus). The app will also feature new content, with new shows produced by Tyler Perry and Will Packer.
The first two shows to roll out on the app are: “First Wives Club” starring Jill Scott, Michelle Buteau, Ryan Michelle Bathe and Malik Yoba. Also, there “Bigger” starring some familiar faces and newcomer Tanisha Long.
“First Wives Club” was inspired by “Girls Trip. “The producer of the movie, Tracy Oliver, who also produced “First Wives Club,” felt like she wanted to bring similar energy to the small screen. This show follows three women who have been friends since college on their journey to figuring out life now as married career women.
“She’s a successful lawyer, she’s given everything up to help her husband pursue his dreams and we see that as the emptiness for her unraveling,” says Ryan Michelle Bathe when referring to her character Ari.

Michelle Buteau who plays Bree added: “We lose ourselves sometimes doing everything for everybody else, and people take advantage of us and we need to take back the night and figure out what to do with ourselves.”
Check out these ladies as they reunite and take back their night.
For the single crowd that feels like they can’t relate to the married women’s problems, “Bigger” is the show for you. It follows a group of friends in their 30s trying to navigate through life, sex and relationships and since it’s on the streaming app BET is pushing the envelope with this one.
“I wanted to shake it up a little bit.” Says Devon Shepard, creator and writer of “Bigger.” Aside from the new content streaming now on the app, you can also check out classic BET shows like “Comic View,” “College Hill,” etc. Don’t act like you don’t miss those old shows and now you can stream them any time and anyway with BET + (Plus).
