*Congrats are in order for actor/singer Tyrese Gibson and his wife Samantha Lee Gibson as they have welcomed their first child, a baby girl. Their daughter, Soraya Lee, was born after 30 hours of a tough labor period.
“Soraya Lee Gibson is here…… 8 pounds 6 Oz our lives just changed forever,” Tyrese Gibson announced on Instagram late Monday evening.
He gave his wife love for being “the real champion” and revealed the strenuous conditions surrounding the 30-hour delivery, writing, “I witnessed first hand the strength of a woman.”
Sharing a photo of their daughter’s footprints, the singer/actor made this promise to his new daughter, “Soraya we are going to love you and protect you till the end of this earth.”
He also gave fans a look at what hospital life is like, posting a photo showing him getting in some snooze time on a couch next to his sleeping newborn, hashtagging the pic #DaddyDuties.
“Overjoyed thank you guys for all the sincere covering in prayers and love queen and princess Gibson is resting!!!!” Tyrese wrote. He also said this will be his last post: “can’t reveal our angel my wife ain’t havin it.”
As The Blast noted, little Soraya is his second child (and daughter). He’s already dad to 11-year-old Shayla, who he’s currently battling for custody with his ex-wife.
On the other hand, he revealed that Shayla will get to meet her new baby sister in a few days.
