*In the wake of a Billboard report yesterday (03-02-17) saying Chris Brown has serious drug addiction issues, the singer/dancer is speaking out.

Brown headed to Instagram Stories with a quickness to push back against the story and let fans know all is well. He complains that every time he makes a positive step his career, another controversial topic throws a curveball at his progress.

“I’m tired of reading about some s**t soon as I’ve got something popping,” Brown, 27, said. “Soon as I want to promote a tour, a party, a fu**ing album, anything, y’all bring up something.” Brown recorded a second video to show that his focus is solely on the music, which entails the remodeling of his home studio. “My weed and my work. That’s all I need,” he curtly said.

The Billboard story quoted former staff members of Brown’s team saying the VA native has an addiction to substances like Xanax, lean, molly, and cocaine, which leads to unpredictable behavior.

“He’s dancing with death,” one current associate of Brown tells the magazine in the extensive feature. Citing numerous unnamed sources, the piece goes on to reveal that Brown has not treated his bipolar disorder for at least a year, and has used hard drugs consistently for the past two years.

One of Brown’s former associates said the entertainer’s alleged use of a myriad of drugs serves as a healer for his previous mistakes.

“He doesn’t know how to deal with the sins of the past,” the unidentified person said. “It’s always someone else’s fault. He becomes the victim. And I think he tries to numb whatever he is feeling.”
