*If you’ve never been a fan of Tamar Braxton, then you’ll find the following announcement to be the best news of the year: She’s retiring from the music scene.
On Thursday, the reality star and singer revealed that after her upcoming project, “Blue Bird of Happiness,” she will not release any additional albums.
Sharing the news on social media, she writes: “THIS is my BEST & LAST album! Enjoy”.
“Bluebird of Happiness” is her upcoming fifth and final studio album, scheduled to be released on September 29 through Tamartian Land Records and Entertainment One. The album has been preceded by the release of the single — “My Man.”
Tamar had her first big break in music in 1990 as a founding member of the R&B group The Braxtons, formed with her sisters. She began her solo career in 2000 — through DreamWorks Records. Braxton released her debut self-titled album that same year, but it was not commercially successful. As a result, she was dropped from the label’s roster in 2000. In 2011, she reunited with her sisters for the WE tv reality show Braxton Family Values.

Meanwhile, comedian DeRay Davis has cleared up what exactly went down during his alleged feud with Tamar when things got heated on the set of the game show “Hip Hop Squares.”
Reportedly, Braxton and Davis got into a spat and he threatened to have his sisters whoop the her ass.
Here’s what went down: TMZ claims DeRay made a joke by accusing Tamar of lip syncing at the BET Awards. Sources say Tamar didn’t hear the joke but when she saw everyone laughing, she asked Lil Mama what was up and the rapper explained. But Tamar didn’t find the shade humerous.
She reportedly got pissed and was “all up in [his] grill.” Davis clapped by saying he would get his sisters to “beat her ass.”
When TMZ caught up with DeRay he denied threatening to get his sisters to jump Tamar. Check out the clip above.
