*OK, let’s admit the obvious. Mzznaki Tetteh is a beautiful lady, BUT she’s … well, you know. She’s a BIG girl. That may be a problem to those who tried to fat shame her, but they found out she wasn’t down for the okey doke.
Tetteh, a nurse from Ghana, recently got engaged to construction worker Kojo Amoah. The blushing bride-to-be and her proud fiancé are proving that love conquers trolls, after people tried to body-shame their engagement pictures.
Not even giving it a thought, the couple shared some of their celebratory pics on social media and as you can imagine, that’s was the cue for the a-holes to do what a-holes do. They made the couple the butt of cruel jokes.
It was one image in particular (see it above), the one that shows Kojo lifting up Mzznaki and captioned ‘Yaaaaayyyyee’ by Mzznaki, was nothing short of red meat for hungry dogs.
While it also received positive comments, the photo was also used on Twitter to body-shame Mzznaki, drawing attention to her size over and over again.
But like we said at the top, if the a-hole trolls thought they were destroying Mzznaki’s joy they were in for a rude awakening.
Miss Thang kept classy and one hundred by pointing to her positive posts on her Instagram page.
‘Still confident… Your rubbish comments ain’t ruining my happiness,’ she captioned one picture of herself, acknowledging only the positive comments: ‘Thanks to all for the compliments and best wishes…am honored.’
After the huge response to the pictures, Kojo told GhanaWeb:
“‘I normally post pictures of me and my girlfriend all the time and I wasn’t expecting this at all. I just posted it, we did a photo shoot and I thought it was nice so I posted it.
“To me, I have always been a fan of plus-size women, and I am so proud of my woman and I don’t care about what anybody says out there.”
Mzznaki, in turn, called Kojo her ‘shield’.
‘He’s always got my back’, she wrote in another post.
And how about this. Mzznaki has gained over 10,000 followers on Instagram and been inundated with positive comments.
Mzznaki and Kojo are now finalising plans for their wedding, which takes place on June 25.
Because nothing and no one is going to ruin this couple’s special day.
