*A video circulating of a homeless woman claiming to be staying at one of Donald Trump’s hotels for free for nine years is not real, a Trump Hotels spokesperson told BuzzFeed News.
In a video uploaded to Youtube, the woman explains how she arrived at Trump Tower about 9 years ago and began squatting inside an empty hotel room. When a housekeeper discovered her, she called the house manager who called the NYPD.

When the police ordered the woman to leave and she refused, they called Donald Trump who came down to the room himself. She claims after Trump heard her story, he allowed her to stay in the hotel room with a view of Central Park…for free.
“I asked him how am I going to pay him back for all this, and he told me I can pay him back when I get it… which is never.”
“Donald Trump is a wonderful, wonderful man,” the woman said.
“There is no validity to the video,” said Jennifer Rodstrom, a spokeswoman for Trump Hotels, who answered a BuzzFeed News request sent to a transition team spokesperson. “The woman depicted is not our guest.”
The video — which you can watch above — first appeared on YouTube in July, but gained traction on this week after it was published on the right-wing outlet InfoWars. Trump supporters also shared the video and said it contradicts criticism that the president-elect is a bigot. The InfoWars link was shared more than 28,000 times on Facebook.
