
*Stevie Wonder wrapped up his 2024 “Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart” tour with a sold-out benefit concert at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on December 14.
According to Vibe, the event, celebrating the 25th anniversary of his House Full of Toys foundation, featured a three-hour performance despite a delayed start. Wonder opened with heartfelt words alongside his children, Aisha and Kailand, and honored Berry Gordy for his 95th birthday and Mayor Karen Bass for addressing homelessness in LA.
The night included a mix of classics like “Superstition,” “Do I Do,” “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” “Sir Duke,” and “My Cherie Amour.” Guest performers included Sheléa, Jon Batiste, Lucky Daye, and El DeBarge.
As previously mentioned, the event celebrated the 25th anniversary of the House Full of Toys benefit concert. According to a news release, the nonprofit supports children, individuals with disabilities, and families in need. Attendees were encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy or gift to spread joy. Additionally, the superstar provided a limited number of complimentary tickets to members of communities already working hard to help heal the nation’s broken heart.
