*Allison Holker’s new memoir looks to be doing more harm than good as the mother of her late husband, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, is fearful the page turner will ruin her son’s legacy.
Chatting with Gayle King, Connie Boss Alexander weighed in on claims Holker made from her book “This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light.” Among the revelations were allegations the beloved ‘Ellen’ DJ had an addiction to drugs via a “cornucopia” of drugs (mushrooms, pills and “other substances”) she found amongst tWitch’s belongs after his death.
In addition to drug addiction, Holker claims that tWitch hinted at being sexually abused by a male figure in his journals, a notion the family called completely unfounded.
While she admits her child wasn’t perfect, Alexander disputes the notion of tWitch indulging in “that type of issue.”
“I’m not saying that my son was perfect,” she said in a preview clip. “I do believe he had experiences where he tried this, that or the other. But no, I don’t believe that there was that type of issue, that type of problem.”

Alexander’s comments mark the latest in a string of developments surrounding tWitch, who was 40 years old when he died by suicide on Dec. 13, 2022. Complex cites Us Weekly in revealing the result of an autopsy on the daytime TV personality, which found no drugs or alcohol were found in his system.
“I applaud speaking about mental health awareness because of course there was something going on there at the end that we were not aware of,” Alexander shared with King on “CBS Mornings.” “I applaud that. If that was the intent of the book to make people aware, look out for these types of signs, there’s a way to say that in general without denigrating the memory and the legacy that he built and that’s there for his children.”
With each revelation Holker has made, tWitch’s legacy is further tainted. As a result, Alexander feels like “there’s now this question in the air when his name comes up and that bothers me.” Now, it’s become a legal situation, with tWitch’s family taking legal action against Holker.
TMZ reports the family is fed up with Holker, who has generated headlines for her claims against tWitch. Alexander recently spoke out on Instagram on what she deemed “misleading and hurtful” claims in “This Far” about her son’s life and death. For the matriarch, the matter is distressing in that she is unable to solely focus on her healing. Instead, Alexander’s time is occupied with her protecting tWitch’s name and legacy while defending his honor.
A new statement from the Boss family voices their support for Alexander and outrage against Holker for her “disrespectful and evasive actions” since tWitch’s passing.
The “misleading, unproven accounts” and the inconsistencies in Holker’s memoir are at the heart of the family’s legal recourse to look deeper into the situation, with questions still looming in their hunt for answers.
In the meanwhile, a GoFundMe for donations has been started by tWitch’s family. TMZ notes that proceeds from the contributions will go toward covering legal fees and related costs.
