WOW..What Should I do?
Question
I live alone. I’m lonely, depressed and confused. When I was younger I was very insecure, shy and suicidal. Then I found the Lord. I love serving in the church, co-workers, family and friends. Due to the Pandemic I no longer have a job or church to go to. Because of Social Distancing I cannot go and see my family and friends and they refuse to come and see me. The state has reopened and they still won’t come! People are not returning my phone calls as quickly as I would like. I’m becoming frustrated and angry. I do spend time with the Lord but frankly I’m becoming bored with that. If one more person tells me to spend time with the Lord I’m going to scream. Lately, it has rained a lot and I can’t get out. I feel like a prisoner in my own home. I’m angry and confused. Why is God doing this to me?
Answer
I respect your feelings. Your family and friends did communicate with you when they told you to spend time with the Lord. People can’t always talk when you call. Many people believe that it is still too soon to try and live life as they once knew it. We still don’t have a cure. Covid-19 deaths continue to rise. Look for ways to help others. Take your mind off of you. The Pandemic happened around the world and not just to you. Run to the throne instead of the phone, God will answer unanswered questions, heal unhealed wounds and show you some things about yourself that you may not know.
