*Gayle King revealed she will be launching into space on a Blue Origin rocket but admitted to her CBS Mornings co-hosts that she is nervous about the journey.
Meanwhile, astrologer Ashley Sipes took to TikTok to warn that King’s horoscope suggests the timing may not be ideal for the trip, urging her to reconsider. The mission is set to make history as the first all-female spaceflight.
“Ms. King is headed to space, okay. She’s getting in a rocket mid-spring, I believe, I don’t know the exact date, so we’re going April 15 and her gut is telling her not to go, and I’m telling her not to go,” Sipes said, per Daily Mail.
“I’m not saying something terrible or tragic is going to happen, but this just doesn’t feel right to me,” Sipes added.
“She’ll have transit Uranus squared her natal Pluto. This is a very slow moving transit, and on its own doesn’t really concern me much. I would say division of a business partnership of some kind, but then we have Jupiter squaring Mars, and Mars is in her second house, it’s at 17 degrees,” Sipes explained.

“That is in the sign of Pisces – 17 degrees of Pisces warns of accidents and violence in travel. Jupitar, transit Jupitar, is activating this placement,” Sipes added.
“Not trying to be negative or fearmonger, I think it’s great if this is what she wants, but in the video she’s clearly upset, and that in combination makes me extremely distraught as well.”
Joining King on the journey are singer Katy Perry, journalist Lauren Sánchez, ex-NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights advocate Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn. This flight will be the 11th human mission for Blue Origin’s space program.
“I don’t know how to explain being terrified and excited at the same time. It’s like how I felt about to deliver a baby,” King said during the announcement on “CBS Mornings.”
She consulted her kids and her best friend, Oprah Winfrey, before committing to the spaceflight.
“Once Kirby and Will and Oprah was fine with it, I was fine,” King said.
“I thought Oprah would say no, no. She said, ‘I think if you don’t do it, when they all come back and you had the opportunity to do it, you will be kicking yourself.’ She’s right,” she continued.
“This was never my dream. It was never my dream,” King said. “And somebody said, maybe you need to have new dreams, Gayle.”
The veteran journalist said, “I thought I wanted to open myself up to new adventures and step out of my comfort zone.”
King also noted that she feels “well prepared” for the upcoming journey.
