*Rapper Cardi B addressed the recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids in Los Angeles, which have triggered protests and prompted President Donald Trump to deploy National Guard and Marine forces.
As MadameNoire reports, she responded to questions about why more celebrities remain silent on the issue. The hip-hop star explained her reluctance to speak out daily, fearing it could incite further retaliation from the administration.
“Personally, the reason why I haven’t really said anything is because I could say something every single day about it and guess what? Nothing is going to happen,” she stated in a candid X Spaces conversation on June 18.
Cardi expressed concerns that her outspokenness might provoke Trump, whom she believes harbors personal animosity toward her.
“Because Trump do not give one f—k about me or what I gotta say. I personally believe that he doesn’t like me. So if somebody don’t like you, and they say something or they do something, they’ll be like, ‘Oh word? Now I’m gonna show you,’” she said.

She described Trump’s leadership style as authoritarian, noting, “He always gives dictatorship vibe. I tried to warn people that this was going to happen.”
Feeling disconnected from political influencers, Cardi added, “I don’t know nobody anymore in the White House. I don’t know a representative. I don’t know nobody in there.”
She warned that persistent criticism might backfire, stating, “Actually, I feel like if I talk about it every single day, he’s going to deport more people on purpose to show you. …Like, ‘B—-h, I run this country.’”
