*“It was time to work on a new album. He (God) had something He had to say,” said five-time Stellar Award nominated Kim Person to me during an interview about the birth of her latest album “Speak Life and Live.” “I was trying to decide whether to move forward or take a break. I never move on my own, I wait for the Holy Spirit.”
The new project landed on Billboard’s Top 15 Gospel Album. The single that’s at radio is “Fall On Me.” The “Fall On Me” single is produced by Phillip Bryant (Tamela Mann).
“I went to Texas to work with a producer…on a song that I had…and he said work on a new song,” Kim said about the single. “I asked God what to write. It’s a message of hope. Don’t give up, pick up the pieces.”
Kim Person’s last album “Journey 2.0” spent six weeks on Billboard’s Top 10 Gospel Album Chart.
“I didn’t know the title and He (God) said ‘Speak Life and Live,’” she added. “We get depressed…we need to live on what He told us…overcome and trust God.”
