*Cynthia Bailey is returning to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” for season 15.

“I can say that I am going to play with the girls a little bit this season, maybe some future seasons,” she said in a new interview in the SUAVV magazine studio. “But only as a friend.”

In 2021, Bailey left the hit Bravo reality series after 11 seasons. At the time, she noted in a statement that she made the “very difficult and heartfelt decision” to not return to the show.

“After much thought and consideration, I have made the very difficult and heartfelt decision not to return for the next season of Real Housewives of Atlanta,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

She added: “Thank you NBC Universal, Bravo, and Truly Original for over a decade of partnership. I can’t wait to see what we do next! Thank you to my Real Housewives of Atlanta castmates for eleven of the most unbelievable years of my life; and the most incredible & UNFORGETTABLE memories! I am so grateful to have had this amazing journey, and I am anxiously waiting to embark on new adventures. Most importantly, THANK YOU to my fans! I could not have done it without your blessings, love, and support. Without the fans, none of this would be possible. I love and appreciate all of you.”

Cynthia came aboard “RHOA” in 2010 in its third season as a friend of NeNe Leakes. The show also featured her relationship with, and eventual split from Peter Thomas. After her RHOA exit, Bailey married sports anchor Mike Hill and moved from Atlanta to Los Angeles. But after divorcing Hill, she’s spending more time at her home in Atlanta.

“Now that I’m spending more time back in Atlanta at Lake Bailey, I’m like, ‘I may as well go and play with the girls,’” she said.

“I do miss hanging out with the ladies a little bit. I have some great friendships with some of the girls and I just want to still be able to do pursue my acting,” she added.
