Bhad Bhabie accused of “blackfishing” and cultural appropriation

*Danielle Bregolli, best known as rapper Bhad Bhabie, took aim at Lil’ Kim recently, claiming the hip-hop icon wants to look like white woman.

During an Instagram Live session, Bhabie made clear that she’s actually a fan of Kim, but noted that she “wears foundation that’s too light for her face.”

She continued, “The girl got herself a nose job to have a small nose like white people. She turned herself into an–like I said, no disrespect. I don’t get no problem with what she doing, she doing to make her happy. That’s all her.”

Her comments follow “blackfishing” allegations and folks accusing her of trying to be Black due to her style choices.

“But again, she literally got a surgery to look like a white person. She wearin f***ing white light makeup that… and I don’t say a goddamn word about her,” Bhabie says in the clip.

She also defends herself and uses Lil Kim as an example to make a point, asking “Who wants to be black? I don’t understand that. I just can’t comprehend it.”

Kim hasn’t responded to her comments, but some have come to her defense, with one fan writing: “The fact that this girl said Kim went and got a nose job to look white is beyond racist knowing she did it after having multiple broken noses in abusive relationships. Sad that the black community bash our own kind and praise the white devils.”

A Lil Kim fan on Twitter commented, “Bhad Bhabie is only regurgitating the things she hears and sees black people say about Lil Kim, which makes that video even sadder.”

Another user added, “Lil’ Kim has spoken multiple times about the fact that she got surgery on her nose because she had an abusive boyfriend who broke it, and then broke it once again after she had surgery to repair it once. refer to the video below.”
