NAACP L.A Branch to Hold Press Conf. Over Racial Attack of Univ. of La Verne Female Student – VIDEO

*Civil rights leader  Najee Ali of the NAACP Los Angeles Branch is calling for an Federal investigation by the F.B.I. in response to an African-American female student who was attacked  in a  Univ. of La Verne  residence hall.

“There has been several documented threats against the victim and other African-American students since the beginning of the year. The NAACP is calling for an federal investigation of hate crimes  on the La Verne campus against African-American students to ensure their safety and bring those responsible to justice,” said Najee Ali. “We also are calling for a meeting with University officials to receive an update on their investigation.”

The victim was found around 2:40 p.m. Tuesday when a person leaving the Vista La Verne dorms found her on the ground in a stairwell, according to La Verne police.
