During the recent red-carpet screening for the documentary and celebration of Season 3 of “Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta” at The London West Hollywood, EURweb associate Anasia Obioha caught up with Dupri who said the biopic unveils never before details about life.

“This documentary means a lot because I get an opportunity to start telling my story to a lot of people that I assumed knew it,” said Dupree. “It’s time!”

Dupri began his career as a dancer for the group Whodini at the age of 12 and soon began performing around the country. In 1990, he produced for the female hip hop trio Silk Tymes Leather and later formed the widely successful Kris Kross before starting his own record label So So Def in 1993.
