*The ex-husband of former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks will be released from prison a year early after a judge cut 12 months off of his sentence, according to court docs obtained by ET.

Apollo Nida was initially sentenced to 96 months in prison on July 8, 2014 for conspiracy to commit bank fraud; but U.S. District Judge Charles A. Pannell, Jr. reduced his sentence to 84 months. Now, Nida has just over a year left on his sentence.

He will be released in August 2020.

Apollo pleaded guilty in May 2014 after he was charged with being in a four-year scheme involving bank, mail and wire fraud and ID theft of more than 50 people, E! reported.

“This defendant participated in a sweeping fraud scheme that exploited many segments of the financial system, including phony claims submitted to federal and state agencies, loans secured by vehicles, and even basic identity theft associated with stolen checks,” United States Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said in a statement at the time of his plea.

In November 2016, Parks spoke with Entertainment Tonight about Nida maintaining communication with their two sons, 8-year-old Ayden and 5-year-old Dylan, despite being incarcerated.

“Apollo and I, obviously, are going to be connected through our wonderful children through the rest of our lives,” she explained at the time. “I try to keep him in the loop as much as possible because he obviously is in prison. I’m very cognizant that he wants to be a father … and when he reaches out and calls, we try to make sure there’s an open line of communication with the boys.”

Phaedra and Apollo married in 2009 and called it quits in 2014. Their divorce wasn’t finalized until 2017.
