*It’s official: Chris Tucker will reunite with Jackie Chan for a fourth installment of their “Rush Hour” franchise.
Chan had previously said he would return to the series last year, but Tucker has kept quiet on the subject until his recent appearance on ESPN’s podcast The Plug.
“It’s happening. This is gonna be the rush of all rushes. Jackie is ready and we want to do this so that people don’t ever forget it.”
The franchise follows Tucker’s Detective James Carter and Chan’s Chief Inspector Lee as they meet from two different sides of the world. The original in 1998 was a surprise hit, earning a solid $244.4 million at the worldwide box office against a budget of just $33 million.
So far, no word on the location, premise or any other production details about the fourth installment.
