Watch White Supremacist Explain why Trump is Better for America

*Today on News One Now, Host and Managing Editor Roland S. Martin spoke with National Policy Institute President Richard B. Spencer about Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump’s presence in the presidential campaign. During the intense conversation, Spencer justified Trump’s voice in the presidential campaign by calling him an existential voice that brings hope to people of European ancestry.

“I think what Donald Trump has done is brought an existential quality to the presidential campaign that wasn’t there before,” said Spencer. “Donald Trump has asked these big questions like are we a nation? Well if we are a nation, we are a people and we’re going to have borders we are going to control those borders. Are we a nation? Are we going to deal realistically with other nations, or are we going to do this sort of George W. Bush and Hillary Clinton stuff of spreading democracy and intervening around the world. He’s brought a new existential quality to the presidential campaign and that’s very exciting to me and to a lot of other people. I think that should be very exciting to people who aren’t white as well.”

Martin disagreed with Spencer’s justification of Trump’s candidacy and his interpretation of why several white Americans believe they should not have to share power with other races in America.

“Here’s the deal, Richard,” said Martin. “Here’s the reality. We ain’t going anywhere. Here’s the piece. Just like white nationalists and white supremacists have been saying, you’re more than welcome to go back to Europe. You’re more than welcome to go back. I’m going to tell you right now, that African Americans aren’t going anywhere. We built this country. We are going to benefit from this country. Latinos are not going anywhere. So Richard, you’re going to have to learn how to scoot over and share the country because guess what we ain’t turning back.”
