*Rumors of Common dating actress Laura Dern are apparently false.
AllHipHop cites a story from HipHollywood, which got word from the Chicago rhymesayer’s camp that although the pair did meet up for dinner, but anything romantic between Common and Dern is “not true.”
The denial stems from talk of a romantic relationship between the entertainers that surfaced on Wednesday (Jan. 27). Various gossip sites report that Dern, 48, who has a thing for musicians, recently started a hot and heavy romance with Common, 43.
Dern, who starred in “Jurassic Park” and was previously married to musician Ben Harper, has been single since her divorce was finalized in 2013. As for Common, his romantic history includes being linked to the likes of Serena Williams, Erykah Badu, and Fatima Robinson.
Picking up on the rumor, US Weekly originally mentioned that Common and Dern were involved in an emerging relationship. So much so that the publication went on to say that the rhymesayer was even introduced to the “Twin Peaks” fixture’s two children.
As the rumor picked up steam, those in Common’s camp eventually came out to put a stop to the talk.
