*In an open letter to Dr. Phil posted on her Facebook page, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s aunt, Leolah Brown, urges the TV host and the media in general to avoid giving BK’s boyfriend Nick Gordon “a platform.”
She also claimed that Gordon is being investigated in connection with the 22-year-old’s near drowning.
“With all due respect, Nick Gordon is under investigation for attempted murder of my niece Bobbi Kristina Brown,” Bobby Brown’s sister wrote to Phil McGraw, who councils Gordon for an episode to air Wednesday, March 11.
“Until this investigation is completed by law enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else not provide this individual a platform to spin this situation to his benefit,” she wrote.
Bobbi Kristina, the only child of the late Whitney Houston, has been in a medically induced coma since being found face down in a bathtub in her suburban Atlanta home on Jan. 31 by Gordon and a friend.
Police have launched a criminal investigation into the incident, but they have not said Gordon was the target of their probe.
As previously reported, Dr. Phil staged an intervention with Gordon, assisted by his mom Michelle, who also appears in the segment.
The intervention will see Dr. Phil “offering Gordon the treatment he appears to so desperately need as he battles drug and alcohol addiction,” according to CBS.
