*Richard Pryor may have had swag, but the comic legend’s wife is not having any association between the term and her late husband on a t-shirt.

TMZ reports that Pryor’s widow Jennifer Lee Pryor is suing Fret Shirt for using the funnyman’s image without her permission. According to AV Club, Fret Shirt is known for its irreverent tees, and has in the past used the likeness of Calvin And Hobbes and “Breaking Bad.”

In her suit, Jennifer Lee Pryor is seeking to stop production of the t-shirts as well as $5 million in damages, TMZ noted. Court documents for the case reveal that Pryor’s widow mentioned the iconic comedian won numerous Grammys and Emmys in his legendary career. Regarding the Richard Pryor t-shirt, Jennifer Lee Pryor stated the T-shirt and term “swag” belittle these accomplishments.

The t-shirt’s official description labeled as a tribute to Pryor, who died in 2005.

“This great shirt is a great tribute to one of comedy’s iconic legends… From his revolutionary style of stand-up comedy to movies like Stir Crazy, Richard Pryor definitely had SWAG!” the description reads.

News of Jennifer Lee Pryor’s lawsuit comes as folks await the publication of Scott Saul’s biography on the entertainer, “Becoming Richard Pryor.”

Despite critical acclaim from The Washington Post, which called the book, “the most detailed and rigorously researched work on the comic’s life and performances,” “Becoming Richard Pryor is not a complete biography. The page-turner ends with Pryor’s 1980 accident, which resulted in him receiving severe third degree burns.
