*Reality star Apollo Nida is facing divorce after his wife, Sherien Copes, filed for divorce on February 7, alleging adultery and cruel treatment, according to court documents.
Sherien listed their marriage date as October 14, 2022, and their separation as November 1, 2023. She claims Nida, the ex-husband of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks, was unfaithful during their marriage but is not seeking alimony. The couple reached a settlement agreement in October, with both waiving spousal support and confirming they had no shared debts, InTouch reports.
In her divorce filing, Copes said the marriage was “irretrievably broken” with “no hope that we can get back together.”
She claimed Apollo “intentionally and continually deserted me for at least a year.”
“The Respondent and I can no longer live together and there is no hope that we will get back together,” she stated, per PEOPLE.

“The Respondent has had sexual intercourse with someone else during our marriage,” Copes claimed, adding, “The Respondent has intentionally and continually deserted me for at least a year.”
In her explanation, Copes wrote: “Respondent has committed adultery multiple times throughout our relationship. Respondent refused to seek professional help with his mental health issues and instead he emotionally and physically abused me and brought great emotional abuse to his step daughter.”
Copes has requested the court to finalize the divorce and divide their marital assets and requested a protective order against Nida.
“There is a history of physical violence by the Respondent toward me, and I am afraid that the Respondent will engage in further acts of violence or harassment toward me unless the Court enters a temporary and permanent restraining order,” Copes claimed.
After divorcing former RHOA star Phaedra Parks, Apollo married Sherien. However, according to The Jasmine Brand, his second wife later discovered that he had impregnated his side chick last year. His alleged text messages from the mistress were exposed in the 2024 report, in which he tells the unidentified woman, “I love you too baby.”
He also gushed bout their unborn child. “We going to have a baby lol. I can see the reaction on your face right now. I’m just [busting] out laughing,” Nida allegedly texted.
Nida and Almufti married about a decade after they first met. They had a small, intimate ceremony at a church near Atlanta, as they shared with TMZ.
