Target Employee Blasts Co-worker for ‘Erasing Facts’ About Black History Month from Whiteboard | Video

*A Target worker is speaking out about having her Black History Month facts removed from a whiteboard for employees to read.

In a recent TikTok video, a Black woman named Orquinazia Scott (@orquinaziascott) puts a co-worker on blast after finding out the person was removing the Black history facts that Scott had been writing on the whiteboard.

“Ya’ll, the thing don’t even be staying up for 24 hours,” Scott says in the video.

Some of the facts detailed how a Black man influenced Elvis Presley’s style of dancing. Another one of Scott’s facts unpacked the history of Seneca Village, a former Black community in New York City where many of its original residents were displaced when the town was turned into Central Park.

“So tonight, I’m [going] to put up yet another Black history fact, and if I come back tomorrow, and it’s erased—not by me—it’s gone be a problem,” says Scott in one of the series of TikTok clips she posted.

In follow-up videos, Scott further details how her Black history facts continue to get erased from the whiteboard so she ultimately uses a permanent marker to write her messages.

“Y’all keep trying to erase our history, but I can do this all day,” she says.

In her latest video, Scott claims she was tipped off about who the whiteboard culprit is, a co-worker named “Ashley” in human resources. Scott decided to have a little chat with Ms. Ashley, who is also a person of color.

“So I proceed to ask [Ashley], ‘Were the facts too real? Or did the Black Lives Matter tick you off? Because I need to know why my board is gone and where it is,’” Scott says.

Scott claims “Ashley” lied and denied erasing the Black history facts from the whiteboard. When “Ashley” suggested Scott give her the facts to add on the whiteboard instead of Scott, the TikToker refused.

“She’s not even white y’all,” Scott says. “That’s what’s mind-boggling. Like you have the same challenges as me. A group of people don’t like you, and you have a problem with me trying to enlighten that group of people?”
