*Republicans are having a hard time pinpointing their counter-attacks on Joe Biden’s VP pick Kamala Harris, but one pushback after Wednesday’s reveal came from an unlikely source. “Fox News Sunday” anchor Chris Wallace told “America’s Newsroom” Wednesday that the California senator “is not far to the left, despite what Republicans are gonna try to say.”
Wallace’s comments come after the Trump administration was all over the place in trying to disparage Harris Wednesday afternoon. She was labeled an overzealous prosecutor too tough on crime by some in the Trump circle, while other surrogates said she’s so far to the left that she would institute socialism. Still others said she was too moderate to satisfy her party’s progressive base. Trump called Harris his “#1 draft pick” of VP opponents that his campaign would want to face.
Wallace said on “America’s Newsroom,” Despite the president saying yesterday that Kamala Harris was his No. 1 draft pick, that she’s the one he wanted the most, I promise you that there were a lot of people he would have liked to be running against much more.”
