*Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD initiative has partnered with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s #StartSmall to help the needy during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The Grammy winner announced Thursday that she has committed $6 million to help vulnerable Americans who have been affected by the health crisis, as well as organizations that support those suffering with mental illness.

“Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD recognizes the immense mental and personal health burdens being placed on essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic,” a rep for Beyoncé said in a statement, via PEOPLE

“In our major cities, African-Americans comprise a disproportionate number of workers in these indispensable occupations, and they will need mental health support and personal wellness care, including testing and medical services, food supplies and food deliveries, both during and after the crisis.”

Jack also added on Twitter, “$6mm for mental and personal wellness support for communities of color in Houston, New York, New Orleans, and Detroit. Thank you to @Beyonce, @BeyGood, and @UCLA!”
