*Steven Spielberg’s daughter, Mikaela Spielberg, has slammed claims that her parents are ashamed of her decision to embark on a career as a sex worker.
Mikaela previously claimed her famous father was supportive of her decision. But someone close to the family spilled to Page Six that that’s not the case.
In an interview with The Sun, the 23-year-old — who was adopted by the acclaimed filmmaker and wife Kate Capshaw — opened up about producing her own ‘solo porn videos’ and her hopes to soon secure a job as a stripper in Tennessee, where she lives with her 47-year-old fiancé.
“Outwardly, Steven and Kate — who are the most evolved parents in the world and love their kids beyond all measure — have always been supportive of Mikaela and try to understand her,” a family friend told Page Six. “Obviously, though, they’re embarrassed by her sudden public admission of entry into the sex worker world.”

In a new interview with The Sun, Mikaela claims her parents were expecting her to go into the “outsider art” or “taboo art” field.
“My parents — despite what people have written — aren’t embarrassed, they were actually kind of expecting it to be my career,” Mikaela said. “Some sort of outsider art… or taboo art, because they’ve always known that I was a little bit neurotic.”
She also noted that she didn’t seek their approval prior to making her decision.
“They’ve always known that whatever I wanted to do in life I probably was going to do it whether they liked it or not,” she said. “So it kind of felt like a little bit of a relief. It was like they were preparing themselves to get the news for this and they’re not sad for me and my choice of career.”

The 24-year-old, who was arrested last month over an alleged domestic violence incident with her fiance, says people shouldn’t be “sad” for her parents.
“I’m not sad for them. People shouldn’t be sad for them,” she said. “That’s the one big thing – people are like, ‘I feel sorry for your parents’. Nobody here is a victim.”
She also revealed that she’s been catching heat from her father’s hardcore fansbase.
“There’s people who were like, ‘You’re embarrassing your father.’ I’m like, ‘You’ve never spoken to him. How would you know that? There’s no way you could know that.’…I have had problems with my dad’s fan base. Those are the scariest, in my opinion – just toxic energy,” she said.
