*Charlamagne Tha God wants y’all to bear witness to his trials and tribulations, which is why he has agreed to participate in a live therapy session with mental health expert Dr. Jessica Clemons on VH1 next week, TheWrap reports.

According to the publication, Clemons has amassed more than 30,000 followers on Instagram, and she uses her social media presence to create a space for discussion about mental health.

The “Breakfast Club” radio host will sit down with the trained psychiatrist, who is known for hosting weekly Q&A sessions and a monthly conversation series that aims to normalize discussions on mental health awareness.

“I want to remind people to prioritize all aspects of their health by practicing self-care, taking ownership for emotional issues that negatively affect their lives,” Clemons said in an interview with Essence earlier this fall, “and shifting their mindsets from a passive way of engaging in life to an active one.”

“In Session With Dr. Jess” is produced by Big Fish Entertainment and executive produced by Charlamagne Tha God and Karen Kinney. Charlamagne’s session is set to air Monday, Nov. 12 at 10 p.m., and is being billed by the network as the “first live session on mental health in television history.”

Charlamagne recently canceled a scheduled TimesTalk discussion about mental health with Kanye West.

“Normalizing being mentally healthy is a conversation that I really wanted to have with Kanye West because he’s been so vocal about his own mental health struggles,” he wrote on Instagram.

“Unfortunately I think to have that conversation with him right now would not be productive and a total distraction from the point of the convo which is to eradicate the stigma of mental health especially in the black community.”
