*If Floyd Mayweather, Jr. has his way, Nelly and his ex-girlfriend Ashanti will be dragged into the current assault case filed against him by his ex-girlfriend (and Nelly’s current boo thang) Shantel Jackson.
In 2014 Jackson sued Mayweather for assault and battery, defamation and invasion of privacy. She accuses him of publicly releasing her medical information on social media regarding an abortion.
The boxer then countersued claiming Miss Jackson ran up his credit cards without permission and stole money from him.
Both Mayweather and Jackson have denied the allegations levied against each other.
The Blast reports that Mayweather filed documents on April 20 stating his intent to depose Nelly and Ashanti, who broke up with the rapper back in 2010. Mayweather has yet to state publicly the reason for the deposition requests.
Both depositions aren’t scheduled until January, just ahead of the expected trial.
