‘Being Mary Jane’: Morris Chestnut Joins 2-Hour Series Finale Movie

*A source working on the set of “Being Mary Jane” has revealed to lovebscott.com that Morris Chestnut has joined the cast for the show’s epic series finale.

The celebrity news site reports that there’s no word on his character just yet, but fans can only imagine the chemistry between him and Gabrielle Union.

lovebscott.com also exclusively reported when Michael Ealy joined the show last season.

The series 2-hour finale film was written by Patrik-Ian Polk (pictured below via Instagram) —  “who served as a producer on the 4th season of the show and is currently serving as the co-executive producer & showrunner.”

Union took to Instagram recently to reveal that filming for “Being Mary Jane” is underway in Atlanta.

“Tomorrow will be the 1st day of filming for the series finale movie of #BeingMaryJane I wanted to approach this opportunity with fresh eyes and an open heart,” she wrote. “I wanted different for Mary Jane and realized I had to make different decisions for myself. In order to give my all to Mary Jane, I had to give my all in my own life. I wanted different, better, more… so I proceeded to do exactly that…different shit for a different outcome and damnit do I feel golden. Gonna enjoy Mary Jane until it’s time for the next. Thanks for joining me on this ride. Love & Light good people.”
