Producers of NBC’s hit reality series “America’s Got Talent” are reportedly ready to kick Mel B to the curb and replace her with Academy Award-nominee Queen Latifah.
Production sources tell TMZ that Mel’s been combative behind-the-scenes, far worse than viewers have seen her act on screen.
If you don’t watch the show, then you probably missed the moment she feuded on camera with Simon Cowell … tossing a drink at him. The outburst came after he compared a contestant’s performance to Mel’s honeymoon: “lots of anticipation but no delivery.”
At the time, she was in the midst of a divorce her estranged husband, Stephen Belafonte. Producers also think she comes with too much “baggage” following the intense divorce from her ex.
They want to replace the Spice Girl with The Queen by next season. But there’s a bit of an issue: Latifah’s under contract with the FOX series, “Star.”

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is opening up about the time his mom Ata tried to commit suicide when he was 15 years old.
Johnson was filming on the set of “Ballers” in a cemetery and posted a photo of his day there.
“Got me thinkin’ though bout how many of us have been affected by suicide of our friends, family. Struggle and pain is real. We’ve all been there on some level or another,” The Rock wrote. “My mom tried to check out when I was 15. She got outta the car on Interstate 65 in Nashville and walked into oncoming traffic. Big rigs and cars swerving outta the way not to hit her. I grabbed her and pulled her back on the gravel shoulder of the road. What’s crazy about that suicide attempt is to this day, she has no recollection of it whatsoever. Probably best she doesn’t.”
“Sh*ts of a scene to shoot – didn’t like it – but it did reminder that we always gotta do our best to really pay attention when people are in pain. Help ‘em thru it, get ‘em talkin’ about the struggle and remind ‘em that they’re not alone,” he added. “We got lucky that day when I was 15 and that ain’t always the case.”
