*Andy Murray’s dramatic victory over Argentina’s Juan Martin Del on Sunday made the British tennis star the first man ever to win back-to-back singles gold medals at the Olympics.

After the intense four-hour affair, the BBC’s John Inverdale rolled up for the post-match interview with his microphone and severe memory loss, appearing to forget the existence of women’s tennis.

Telling Murray that he was the first person to win two tennis golds at the Olympics, the athlete corrected him.

“Venus and Serena have won four each.”
