*Despite news of President Donald Trump attending Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, Super Bowl ticket prices are steadily declining as game day approaches, according to last-minute ticket platform Gametime.
Currently, the lowest-priced seats are available for $3,740, a significant drop from $6,375 just a week ago. Premium tickets have also plummeted, now selling for $17,787—down from a staggering $58,327 last Friday. For comparison, last year’s Super Bowl had a much higher entry price of $8,764, while the top-tier seats sold for $37,620. Prices for the 2023 matchup between the Chiefs and Eagles also started higher, with the cheapest seats at $6,264 and the most expensive reaching $33,042.
Gametime’s data suggests that Super Bowl tickets typically reach their lowest prices on game day. In 2024, the cheapest ticket dropped from $9,400 two weeks out to $7,100 on the day of the event. However, fans looking for the best value should aim for tickets in the mid-range price point, which fell 30% last year, from $14,300 to $10,000 by game day.
For those looking to score a deal, Gametime recommends purchasing either four days before the game or on the day itself, as prices tend to rise slightly 1-2 days before the event.
Meanwhile, TickPick CEO Brett Goldberg attributes the price drop to the location, noting that New Orleans lacks the appeal of Las Vegas. Additionally, expensive hotel rooms are deterring potential attendees.

“When you see upwards of $2,000 a night for a hotel room that normally goes for $198, that’s insanity,” TicketManager CEO and cofounder Tony Knopp told Front Office Sports.
Trump will become the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl, where the Philadelphia Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs, a rematch of their 2023 showdown. The game is set for Sunday, February 9, with kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET.
