In the meantime, here’s an excerpt from Fat Joe and LL Cool J’s conversation:

Fat Joe: “So what’s a future for LL Cool J like? Because we have seen this four decade career of excellence. What do you think about your future? Do you want to one day retire and mind your business? Do you want to– what is it like?”

LL Cool J: “It’s about dreaming. Achieve that goal. Dream again. Achieve that goal. You know, apple trees don’t stop giving apples till they finish. Apple trees don’t say, ‘ah, I’m done. I’m just going to chill now and have green leaves with no fruit.’ Don’t work like that. You keep bearing fruit forever. We all on this journey, right? And the journey is really the reward.”

Fat Joe: “You’re getting awarded today. How many award, this is probably your 10,000th. How do you get hyped up for an award? Is there any award out there, not disrespecting the one tonight, but is there any award out there that you’ll be like, ‘Yo, this is, this is amazing.’ You’ve won every award in the universe.”

LL Cool J: “Got a lot of awards.”

Fat Joe: “Like, what is it? Maybe they name Queens LL Cool J. Yo, like, I don’t know.”

LL Cool J: “Bananas. They name Queens LL Cool J!”

Fat Joe: “Imagine that!”

“Fat Joe Talks” airs Friday, October 18 at midnight on the STARZ app. On linear, it will debut on STARZ at 10:00 PM ET/PT in the U.S.
