*First Lady Michelle Obama hit the campaign trail in Fairfax, Virginia this afternoon, attempting to drive home the point that this country cannot afford to have Donald Trump as President of the United States.

“There were those who questioned and continue to question for the past eight years up through this very day whether my husband was even born in this country,” Obama said to a lively crowd at George Mason University, her first solo campaign stop touting Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. “Well, during his time in office, I think Barack has answered those questions with the example he set by going high when they go low.”

The first lady spoke just hours after Trump — who for five years has questioned if President Obama is a U.S. citizen — finally admitted that Obama was born in America.

“If a candidate is erratic and threatening; if a candidate traffics in prejudice, fears and lies on the trail; if a candidate has no clear plans to implement their goals; if they disrespect their fellow citizens, including folks who made extraordinary sacrifices for our country; let me tell you, that is who they are. That is the kind of president they will be, trust me,” said FLOTUS.

“A candidate doesn’t suddenly change once they get into the office,” she proclaimed.

While never mentioning Trump by name, she argued his style of politics should be kept far from the Oval Office.

“We need someone who is steady and measured, because when you’re making life-or-death, war-or-peace decisions, a president can’t just pop off,” she said.
