*A Queens mother and daughter say they’ve been bombarded with death threats in the wake of a viral video that shows them attacking a college student over a parking space. The confrontation, which erupted in Ridgewood on July 7, resulted in assault and harassment charges against the pair.
As the New York Post reports, the video shows Andreea Dumitru, 45, and her daughter Sabrina Starman, 21, along with an unidentified man, physically attacking 21-year-old Pace University student Jada McPherson after she tried to take a spot a friend had been holding with a trash can. Both parties hurled racial and ethnic slurs during the clash.
“You’re a monkey, bitch,” Dumitru yells in the footage. “You’re an immigrant, bitch,” McPherson fires back. Starman adds, “You’re a f–king slave bitch. You’re a slave for what it’s worth.”
Now facing a storm of public outrage, Dumitru and Starman have spoken out, offering apologies and revealing they’ve received alarming threats. “I have hundreds of calls death-threatening me,” Dumitru said. “I fear for my life. I haven’t been sleeping since I got out of jail. I haven’t been able to rest. I have not been eating.”
One message read: “You ready to die? Because I’m ready to kill you and your peoples. You will be seeing me shortly. Mark my words, I am going to murder ALL OF YOU.”

Despite the threats, McPherson isn’t accepting the apology.
“I don’t accept the apology only because I feel like the apologies are only because of how much outreach the video is getting,” she said. “I don’t think it’s from their hearts.”
Starman insisted McPherson provoked them. “It was the way she approached us and provoked us for a whole 30 minutes straight,” she claimed.
Still, Dumitru claims the confrontation has changed the way she’ll respond to similar incidents. “I’ll never do that again. Ever,” she said. “You want the parking? Take it. It’s not worth this.”
