*Young Noble, a prominent member of the hip-hop group Outlawz and protégé of the late Tupac Shakur, died by suicide on July 4. He was 47 years old, TMZ reports.
Authorities in Gwinnett County, Georgia, confirmed that officers were dispatched to a country club in Snellville, a suburb outside Atlanta, after a 911 caller reported seeing a man’s body at the bottom of a swimming pool. Responding officers located a man submerged underwater, and the deceased was identified as Young Noble. A fatal gunshot wound was visible on the right side of his head, and investigators also recovered a spent shell casing nearby and a black Beretta Tomcat .32-caliber handgun in the pool.
According to police documents obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, Young Noble’s wife informed authorities that she had last communicated with him around 2 a.m. that morning. During that conversation, she said, Noble told her he planned to “drive around to clear my head” but never returned home. Repeated attempts to contact him afterward went unanswered.
She told investigators that Noble was struggling with depression, and he had been the focus of her efforts to get professional help. She also noted that he typically looked after their children while she worked. When he failed to return home, she went out to search for him, eventually locating his vehicle parked near the country club.
His daughters confirmed to officers that their father had been dealing with emotional struggles and financial instability.

In the wake of his death, Young Noble’s family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral and related expenses, stating: “In this hour we ask for prayer. We ask that you understand Mental Health is real. Our Family and community request your support with our next moment in time. Peace &Blessings #O4L”.
Young Noble’s death marks the fifth among the Outlawz members, a group originally assembled by Tupac. The collective released its most recognized album, Still I Rise, in 1999, several years after Tupac’s murder.
