*While many people feel celebs are a level or three up from them, truth is they’re just as human as you are and sometimes take comments from others to heart.
Case in point: SZA, who clapped back at trolls who opt to body shame her for her weight, instead of praising her on the success of her latest album, “SOS Deluxe: LANA.” The dialogue stemmed from a video posted on one of the entertainer’s fan pages, which shows her during the 2020 quarantine. Once users saw the caption (caption “I miss this era so much,”) SZA’s weight change became the hot topic.
Despite mostly positive feedback, Madame Noire noted the negative comments that stood out for the “Kill Bill” vocalist, including one from a user posting, “aka before she got big and bbl culture like,”
The effect of the body-shamers’ remarks were address by SZA, fresh off her appearance with Kendrick Lamar at the Super Bowl, who cited the critics for her decision to get work don’t on her body.
Yall say weird shit like this and wonder why I’m different and don’t feel comfortable w yall anymore . Lol

“Yall say weird s–t like this and wonder why I’m different and don’t feel comfortable w yall anymore . Lol,” SZA said in a post on X (formerly Twitter). For those wondering or have the wrong idea, she made it know that “I’m different” refers to her social media behavior and interaction with her fans, not changing her appearance.
Yall do realize I mean different as in I don’t go on live+ talk and don’t communicate w yall like that anymore lmao not different as in change my appearance tf ?

As the 2020 clip continued, SZA cleared up her state of mind at the time, stating that year was a tough one after going into depression, not eating and working out too much following the death of her grandmother.
As for her body and the bbl allegations attached to chatter about her physical, SZA admitted to getting work done in 2022 when working out in the gym wasn’t working. Yet she confessed to British Vogue, she said she was “so mad” that she “did that s—t.”
“I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat. It was just so stupid,” she continued, “But who gives a f—k? You got a BBL, you realize you didn’t need the s–t. It doesn’t matter.”
