*Snoop Dogg delivered an unexpected viral moment while providing commentary during the Los Angeles Clippers’ matchup against the Golden State Warriors. The rapper was in the broadcast booth when Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was ejected following an emotional outburst directed at game officials in the fourth quarter.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, tensions flared late in the game as Kerr became increasingly frustrated with a series of calls. As the coach protested, Gary Payton II stepped in to physically restrain him from confronting referees, prompting Snoop to offer a comedic narration of the scene.
“Back him up, back him up, GP, back him up, Steve,” Snoop said. “Steve backing… Inglewood right now. Inglewood, G., Steve. You in Inglewood, Steve. The Arizona Wildcat that came out and looked at it. Back him up.”
The clip quickly circulated online after The Shade Room shared it on Instagram. Watch the moment via the IG post clip below.

Kerr’s ejection stemmed from a disputed play involving Payton. John Collins blocked Payton’s layup attempt, a move Kerr believed should have been ruled goaltending. Instead, the play continued, and Stephen Curry picked up his fifth foul during the Clippers’ fast break that followed.
After the game, officiating officials acknowledged the mistake. Crew chief Brian Forte addressed the missed call in the pool report. “The shot by [Gary] Payton hit the backboard before being touched by Collins. It should have been ruled a goaltending violation,” Forte said, according to ESPN.
He also noted that the play was not eligible for review under league rules. The Warriors narrowly lost 103-102.
