*Rihanna stepped out at the Los Angeles premiere of the upcoming “Smurfs” film on Sunday, July 13, where she spoke about motherhood, her childhood, and the lessons she hopes to pass down to her growing family with ASAP Rocky.
The Grammy-winning artist, who voices Smurfette in the film, shared memories of her late father, Ronald Fenty, and how his influence still guides her. “I’ve always dreamed of what type of grandfather he would be to them because of the favorite parts of my dad,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I think it prepared me for — I mean, having two boys — the adventurous side of me, the outside side of me, the daredevil.”
Rihanna, currently expecting her third child, is focused on raising her sons RZA, 3, and Riot, 1, without heavy screen time. “I want them to be outside and be in nature — no tablet babies,” she said.
“That was the funnest part of my life, my childhood. Just running around outside, barefoot, free. You don’t get to do that anymore,” RiRi added.
While the superstar couple hasn’t publicly confirmed the gender of their third child, hints have sparked speculation. At the “Smurfs” world premiere in Brussels on June 28, ET’s Kevin Frazier asked ASAP Rocky, “Is that the girl you’ve been waiting for?” The rapper replied, “It is, man, it is,” while holding a Smurfette toy and laughing.

As for names, Rihanna said one thing is already decided: “It’s always going to be an R name,” she confirmed to ET. “That’s the one thing me and Rocky don’t fight over.”
In May, ASAP Rocky spoke about parenting on The Run-Through with Vogue, saying, “It’s amazing… just to see them actually, like interact with each other, interact with me, and with their mom. And it’s amazing. It’s beautiful.”
