*At the recent world premiere of “Smurfs” in Brussels, A$AP Rocky joined Rihanna, who lends her voice to Smurfette, and may have let slip a major detail about their third child.
When Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier asked if their upcoming baby is “the girl you’ve been waiting for,” Rocky responded with a grin, “It is, man, it is.” He quickly pivoted, playfully holding up a Smurfette doll and saying, “Right here, you know what I’m saying? Right here.”
Frazier pressed, “You know what I’m asking!” prompting laughter from the rapper. Rihanna, however, remained elusive when asked the same question, teasing, “Let’s see if it’s a Smurfette! I don’t know! Could be a Papa Smurf! Who knows!”
The couple, together since 2019, already shares sons RZA, born in May 2022, and Riot Rose, born in August 2023. Rihanna announced her third pregnancy at the Met Gala in May 2025, and the couple has been open about their growing family. Rocky told Entertainment Tonight they aspire to be “like the Wayans family,” adding, “love is beautiful, and it’s just spreading it.”
Rihanna also confirmed their tradition of choosing names starting with R, noting, “It’s always going to be an R name, that’s the one thing me and Rocky don’t fight over.”

In a 2023 British Vogue interview, Rihanna described motherhood as “legendary,” saying, “It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever.”
Reflecting on RZA’s birth, she shared, “Essentially, from one person I became two. You walk into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. It’s nuts.”
As they await their third child, Rihanna and Rocky continue to captivate fans with their love and growing family.
