*Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the first trailer for “Relationship Goals,” a romantic comedy starring Kelly Rowland and Cliff “Method Man” Smith. Directed by Linda Mendoza, the film will stream globally on Prime Video beginning February 4, 2026.
Based on Pastor Michael Todd’s New York Times bestselling book “Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, and Sex,” the movie follows TV producer Leah Caldwell, portrayed by Rowland. Leah is on the verge of making history as the first woman to run New York’s top morning show when her ex, Jarrett Roy, played by Smith, reappears to compete for the same position. Jarrett claims the book “Relationship Goals” transformed his perspective on love and success, setting the stage for both career competition and romantic tension.
The film explores the challenges of balancing ambition and personal relationships. As Leah’s close friends engage with the life-changing book, they begin to rediscover their own approaches to love, while Leah remains focused on breaking the glass ceiling—despite her undeniable chemistry with Jarrett threatening to reignite past feelings.

“Relationship Goals” boasts an ensemble cast that includes Robin Thede, Annie Gonzalez, Dennis Haysbert, and Matt Walsh. The screenplay is written by Laura Lekkos, Michael Elliot, and Cory Tynan, with production led by DeVon Franklin and executive producers Bart Lipton, Michael Todd, and Kelly Rowland herself.
Inspired by Todd’s viral sermon series, the book behind the film spent 13 weeks on the bestseller list and debuted at No. 1 on Amazon. The story emphasizes discovering lasting love while maintaining healthy, fulfilling relationships.
Fans can now get a first glimpse of the film through the newly released trailer, which highlights the mix of humor, romance, and career-driven ambition that drives the story. Watch the clip above.
