*The first look at the next chapter in the hit magic-heist franchise has arrived with the release of the official trailer for “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.”
Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the film brings back the Four Horsemen for their most ambitious mission yet. Lionsgate will release the movie in U.S. theaters on November 14, 2025.
Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher return as the original team of illusionists, now joined by a new generation of magical talent, played by Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt. Their mission is to take down Veronika Vanderberg, described as “a powerful diamond heiress with ties to arms dealers, traffickers, and warlords.” Rosamund Pike takes on the role of Vanderberg, while Morgan Freeman reprises his role as the legendary Thaddeus.
The story follows the two generations of illusionists as they must unite, despite their differences, to outwit their dangerous new adversary. The film promises “a magic-fueled heist filled with the franchise’s signature twists, turns, and thrilling reveals — along with some of the most thrilling illusions ever captured on film.”

Ruben Fleischer, known for directing “Venom,” “Uncharted,” and “Zombieland,” helms the third installment of the series. The screenplay was written by Seth Grahame-Smith, Michael Lesslie, and the writing duo Paul Wernick & Rhett Reese, based on a story by Eric Warren Singer. The film is produced by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, and Bobby Cohen, with the original characters created by Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt.
“Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” follows the events of the first two films, “Now You See Me” (2013) and “Now You See Me 2” (2016). While neither Michael Caine nor Mark Ruffalo appeared in the promotional materials, Ruffalo has been confirmed to return. A sequel is already reported to be in development, signaling that the franchise’s blend of magic and mystery will continue beyond this latest high-stakes heist.
